This hardware is absolute junk I've never before encountered a piece of hardware that does not have some reset function available via a combination of button presses.

Worse, if I press the power button on the headset while connected, the white light comes on, and the headphones go into that "frozen" state that's the very reason I wanted to upgrade the firmware.

When I connect the HS75 XB gaming headset to my PC (with iCUE 3.38.61 installed), the orange light comes on, but the software does not detect it. Version 4 of the app (on Windows and MacOS) doesn't even have the empty "Devices" panel that says "No Devices detected"! The only version of the iCUE app that even hints it will support devices is version 3.38.61.
